Marital Agreements

Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements

A prenuptial agreement is entered into by a couple before they marry. The Agreement sets forth terms regarding the ownership of their respective assets and any financial responsibilities. It determines how the couple’s property will be divided in the event of a divorce or legal separation as well as the amount of spousal support that one spouse might have to pay to the other if the marriage ends.

Our firm offers expert drafting of pre- and postnuptial agreements, both for couples who plan to get married or live in a committed relationship and for those who are already married or living together. While our clients may never need such contracts, we will create a document that safeguards their assets and clearly delineates their intentions in the event of a breakup. We do our best to meet our clients’ needs and to prevent them from engaging in costly and lengthy litigation.

Most divorces end with a settlement, a written contract setting forth the parties’ agreement, essentially a “roadmap” for their lives and those of their children moving forward.

We are experienced negotiators who consistently achieve the most satisfactory settlement results for our clients.

From Our Clients:

"Ms. Rudyuk represented me in a child support trial which lasted for over a year in Queens. She is an exceptional attorney with very sharp, analytical mind. She was able to discredit a private investigator and another witness on the spot in the court room. She did an enormous amount of work for me and obtained a great result. Ms. Rudyuk was very respected by the Judge. Very professional and hard working attorney."
